Family Literacy Night
Wednesday, April 4
We hope you will join us for Family Literacy Night! A brief PGO meeting will be from 6-6:30pm in the cafeteria and pizza will be available (please sign up so we know how much to order!). At 6:30, parents/guardians head to the library where English/Language Arts Coach Linda Castronovo will give a presentation on curriculum with a focus on what parents can do to help their students become stronger readers and writers. Kids will stay in the cafeteria with Mt. Holyoke students who will guide interactive literacy activities. Preschool age and above siblings are welcome to participate in the activities while parents attend the adult session. Childcare for younger children will also be available.

Book Sale FundraiserA book sale fundraiser to help with the funeral expenses of Fort River parent Ana Rosa Serrano, will be held at Fort River on Wednesday, April 4 after school and during the Family Literacy Night event. Ellare Books and Fort River parent Diane Caraker will offer discounted non-fiction, fiction, picture books, teacher books and workbooks at 50-80% discounts.
