WINTER CHORUS CONCERT RESCHEDULED

The new date for the our recently postponed Winter Chorus Concert is now, Wednesday, February 6th. The concert will take place at 7pm in the Amherst Middle School; Auditorium. Attire is dark slacks and solid colored shirts for boys, dark skirts or slacks and solid colored blouses for girls. We decided to go for lively colored tops to jazz up our dancers and drummers for the African dance numbers. Please plan to report your children to the auditorium by 6:40 that evening, so that we can warm up and prepare for our concert. We are looking forward to sharing our music with you!
Thank you,
Anne White

ROLLING GREEN FIRE FUND

Dear Amherst Regional Public School Families (ARPS),
As many of you know, there was a fire at the Rolling Green Apartments earlier this week. In that fire, families with students at Amherst Regional Middle School (ARMS), Fort River School and Crocker Farm School lost everything they owned. The ARPS community is organizing support for the families and we will let you know about these efforts as they develop. We assume that at some point in the near future there will be an opportunity for families to provide clothing, furniture, and other household items the families need.

At this time the most immediate way we can help is with money in the form of personal checks or in the form of gift cards to help the families purchase essentials.

Checks: Please write out your personal check to: Rolling Green Fire Fund and send/bring to Florence Savings Bank, 385 College St., Amherst, MA.

Gift Cards: Please drop off at your school’s main office, or send in with your student, a store gift card from any local grocery or department store. Gift cards will allow these families to immediately purchase clothing, personal hygiene items, and food. Your student should bring these gift cards to his or her advisor at the Middle School or to the Main Office at Fort River and Crocker Farm. We will distribute the funds and the gift cards to the families to help them meet their needs.

Thank you for your support and generosity, ARPS staff
