Input Sought for Survey Regarding Co-Teaching Model

From Dr. Faye Brady, Director of Student Services:

Over the last year, the District has worked to implement co-teaching as an instructional model in all of our schools. We are working together with our Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) to get feedback from all families about their perception of the co-teaching instructional model. We have drafted a survey to be sent to families and welcome your input to the draft before we finalize it and send it out. If you are interested in providing input, we will be available to meet on the days and times listed below. We hope you will consider joining us for one of these times to offer your input. The survey will be sent out to families who have students in a co-teaching class by the end of May. Thank you.

Please take a moment to read this important update from Superintendent Maria Geryk.  Please share widely!!!

Dear Fort River Families,

I am pleased to inform you that the Principal Search Screening Committee has completed their interviews of candidates for the Principal position at Fort River School.  We had a number of outstanding candidates for the Principal position, and finalists have been selected.  A bio of each finalist will be released on Monday.

Next Thursday, May 19, 2016 the finalists will visit Fort River for the full day to provide faculty, staff and the community the opportunity to meet them.  An evening public forum will be held for Fort River families beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Fort River School. Since the forum begins so early, a pizza dinner will be available to everyone who comes to participate.  Child care will also be provided.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday’s public forum.  I know the finalists are looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible next week.

Sincerely,

Maria Geryk, Superintendent of Schools

Sinceramente,

María Geryk, Superintendente de Escuelas
