Yearbook Photos Needed

We need your fun photos!

If you have taken photos at school events (concerts, performances, field trips, etc.), please consider submitting them for inclusion in the Yearbook!

All students will receive a FREE yearbook at the end of the school year!!! Of course, it's actually not "free" - the PGO supports a small, hardworking volunteer yearbook team and pays for publication out of the annual budget. Thanks to our generous community, the PGO can continue offering a yearbook to every Fort River child at no additional cost.

Submit photos by email to yearbook.fortriver@gmail.com

Include a contact and the grade/class. Photos with groups of children are preferred. Please do not send photos from events not related to school activities.

Thank you for your help!

The Yearbooks are Here!

The yearbook was distributed this week, through the classroom teachers. Each child and staff member received a copy, thanks to funding provided by the PGO annual fund. If you would like to contribute to the annual fund, it is still possible. (Click the Paypal link in the right-hand column of the blog.)

Thank you to our volunteer yearbook committee Kathy Niedzielski and Joy Sullivan.  Special thanks to Kathy for all of her work with the Yearbook Club!  Thank you to those classes and teachers who provided candid shots as well.  The children love having a record of the year at Fort River.

Last Call to Submit Yearbook Photos!

LAST CALL for yearbook pictures. The deadline is April 30th.  Please send your pictures to the yearbook via email (jpeg format preferred) to yearbook.fortriver@gmail.com or put a CD in the PGO mailbox. It helps if you note the grade, class and/or event.   One skill the yearbook club students have learned, is what makes a good yearbook picture. Here are some of the things they look for:
Elements of a good picture:
1) subject: children at school, participating in a school activity, or on a field trip
2) two-three students or more
3) faces of students are visible
4) photos are in focus
The students are hoping that there will be pictures from each class in each grade. Some classes that really could use more pictures are: Shea, Poirier, Eigner, 5th grade in general, & Leaver. Also, we need pictures of performances/plays for all grades other than 3rd.  Also, since this is a student project, time is needed for photo input and editing. The yearbook club will be designing candid pages this month and next. So the sooner they have the photos the better.
Thank you for your help,
The Yearbook club
