Volunteers Needed for Around the World at Fort River

The PGO is still looking for volunteers for a spring evening event celebrating our unique cultural identities. 

Around the World is a Fort River tradition, however it can't continue with volunteer support. Please consider chairing or serving on a small committee to organize this event. The evening generally includes potluck dishes from around the world and wonderful musical and dance performances. Last year students made posters celebrating their identities. We can't schedule this wonderful evening event for families until more volunteers offer to help. Reply to ftriver@gmail.com to volunteer. Thanks for considering!

Annual Fund Update

Thanks to everyone in our community for generously supporting our 2017 - 2018 Annual Fund! 

To date we've collectively raised $2656 or 76% of our goal. YAY!

PGO Coffee with the Principal and Candidates for School Committee on February 9

Please join your friends on Friday, February 9 at 9 am for coffee and informative conversation!

Candidates for School Committee have been invited to this Coffee. The March 27 town wide election ballot will have two open seats for School Committee. Hear from the candidates and ask your questions at this casual event. We will meet in the library but guests MUST first sign in at the Main Office. Campaigns/candidates may contact the PGO at ftriver@gmail.com with questions. 

PGO Coffees with the Principal take place every month or so. Your infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are always welcome at PGO Coffees! Families with future Amherst Elementary school children are welcome and encouraged to attend. We hope to see you there!

UMASS Employees can Donate to Fort River PGO through the UMACC

The annual UMass-Amherst Community Campaign (UMACC) is underway. 

The UMACC program lets UMass employees donate to charitable organizations via paycheck, as little as $1 per pay period. Did you know that UMass employees can donate to the Fort River PGO through the UMACC? Hurry - the deadline is January 31st!

You can choose the amount, and if you opt for payroll deductions, you can split it among several payrolls. The Fort River PGO is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and your donations are tax deductible. The Fort River PGO UMACC number is 15301. UMass employees can signup with their their UMass NetID at http://www.umass.edu/umacc/login.
