Box Tops for Education Update: New Record Set!

Thank you to everyone for clipping Box Tops so far this year. For the first time ever we have reached our goal of $500. We actually surpassed the goal with a grand total of $530.50! A huge increase over previous years - $98 in 06-07 and $296 in 07-08. Keep clipping and bringing the Box Tops to the office. Even though this was the last submission for this year, the reason we made our goal was the huge submission we sent in October from Box Tops clipped from March on and over the summer. Again thanks to everyone. I personally love the fund raisers that do not cost me anything but a little time and effort. Jan Kelly

Box Tops for Education Update

Thanks to everyone who has been clipping those Box Tops. We just deposited our largest check ever--$339 which means 3,390 Box Tops!
We have surpassed the total for last year for both fall and winter submissions ($296) and 2006-2007 the total was $98.29. The last submission to receive a check for this year is the end of February. (Any sent in after this date are saved for the fall submission.) I would ask that all box tops be sent to school by Wednesday February 25th to give me time to bundle and send. I already have $85.00 in hand so we are at $424, only $76 away from our goal of $500 and way above our past years! --Jan Kelly, janandkevink@comcast.net

Box Tops for Education: Update

Thanks to all who have been busily cutting Box Tops Coupons. The first submission was this week and we sent in over 3,300 box tops totaling $338.00! This is the best we have ever done and we hope that everyone will keep checking products to make certain they are not throwing away coupons. They may only be worth 10 cents each, but over time that adds up. For comparison, last year we earned $128.75 for the fall submissions with a total for the year of $295. The year before our total for the year was $97.00! We are off to an amazing start! The final submissions for checks to be received this school year will be February 28. Please keep clipping and sending the Box Tops to school (There is a box on the front table in the main office.) Each year our goal has been $500 and this year we may even exceed it! In addition to cutting coupons, you may also register on the Box Tops for Education website for periodic raffles of Box Tops. Once you have registered, you can purchase things through the Box Tops Market Place from many on-line companies. If you ever order things on-line from places like Target, Barnes and Noble, The Gap, or Lands End to name a few, consider registering at Box Tops and accessing these sites through the Market Place. Target for example will donate 1.5% of the total purchase to our school. I am not asking anyone to buy anything they do not already need, just take a few minutes to see if there is a way for your purchase to help out Fort River School. This is the best fund raiser as it does not require any monetary donation, just a few minutes to get out the scissors and clip. So when you are preparing Thanksgiving dinner look for the Box Tops symbol. Let’s exceed our goal for the year! Thanks, Jan Kelly

Box Tops for Education Update from Jan Kelly

Thanks to all for clipping those Box Tops. For the 2007-2008 we earned $296.64, a huge increase over $98.29 for the previous year. Please keep clipping for the remainder of the school year and over the summer as well. The next distribution will be October 31, 2008. We have already exceeded the amount earned last October ($128.00) as I already have $140.00 of Box Tops bundled and ready to go. So keep clipping and bringing in the Box Tops to the box on the table in the front office. Look for information early next fall for even more ways to earn easy money for Fort River School ….. don’t you love earning money with things you already have in the house? So keep those scissors handy!

Box Tops for Education

In case you are not familiar with Box Tops this is an easy way to earn money for Fort River….. and is one fund raiser that does not ask for any money….just take your scissors and clip! For each Box Top clipped the school receives 10 cents! How easy is that? So before you recycle the cardboard Zip Lock bag container, tear off the plastic around the Scott Bath Tissue, or throw away the top to the Yoplait Yogurt container take out your scissors. I know I always return my 5 cent cans rather than throw away money and this is the same for Fort River.

This year, our goal is to raise $500.00 for our school. So far this year we have collected 670 box tops and are 67.00 towards that goal. (Last year we only earned 98.00….some schools in our area earned over $2,000.00!). The collection box is on the table in the Front Office. This is one way relatives can help support your child’s school. (My children’s aunt and 95 year old grandmother clip) Every Box Top clipped will help Fort River School continue to provide quality education for our kids! NEXT REDEMPTION IS END of October so clip and send in your Box Tops by Friday October 26.

If you would like to learn about the other ways you can make a difference sign up for the Box Tops website at boxtops4education.com. It’s easy, free and you’ll learn about new ways to help our school earn the extra cash it needs. Here's a link to the Box Tops product list.
