Fort River PGO Book Share Coming Soon!

Spring Cleaning???
Please set aside children and young adult books for the FR Book Share!

Even though the thermometer doesn't seem to know it's spring, it is time to look over your bookshelves!  Once again, the Fort River PGO will be holding a Book Share.  Books that your kids have outgrown can be brought in to be shared with others.  We are hoping to collect over 800 books so that each child can bring home two books.  Books for 5th and 6th grade are especially desired. More information on when books will be collected will be coming out soon!

Thanks to everyone for making the Book Swap a big success!

Thank you to the families, staff, and community members who donated books to our Swap. We had a wonderful selection of books for our students and they certainly seemed to enjoy making their selections.  Special thanks to organizers Libby Stanforth and Deb Leonard, and the people who volunteered to help set up and work the Swap: Becky Michaels, Carol Slaughter, Pam Rietkerk, Sue Borden, Becky Schneider, Jenn Green, Katie Clarkewright, Eileen Marasco, and Shubha Tewari. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thanks also to Fran Ludington, who welcomed us into the library and was instrumental in making the Swap a success.

the Book Swap will be April 9-13 and is free and open to all students.

Volunteers are needed April 4, 5, and 6th for sorting and setting up the swap. We need LOTS of help on those days!!! We will also need help working the Swap during the week of April 9-13. We still need books for the Book Swap!

Don't forget to donate children's books for the BOOK SWAP!  Books are trickling in but we need a flood! Our students LOVE this event, but it will only be a success with donations of gently used books your children have grown out of.  We are always in need of books for students in 5-6th grade. Appropriate adult books, reference, dictionaries, thesauruses, are always great! This is a great way to clean out dusty book shelves and get books into the hands of eager readers! Please try to drop them off as soon as possible.   As a reminder, the Book Swap will be April 9-13 and is free and open to all students.
