Junior Achievement Day
On March 6th, Fort River will be hosting Junior Achievement Day. Volunteers are needed to work in each classroom, March 6th 8:30am-1:30,
leading the kids through age appropriate activities (curriculum
provided by JA) in areas like financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
In addition to the day of time commitment, there is also a 1 hour
training session that we are working on scheduling that would be held at
FR. Two sessions will be offered (one morning, one evening) in order
to accommodate different schedules. If you are interested and would
like more information, please contact Liz Larson (liz.fortriver@gmail.com).

School Closing Information
Text messages about school closings - several PGOs have asked about the
possibilities of receiving text messages from the district about school
closings and delays. At this time, the district is not able to do this
but WWLP (TV station in Springfield) can! Please visit http://wwlp.com/text- alerts/ to learn more and sign up.
