Special Film Event at the Jones Library

Smoke Signals at the Jones Library

 

Join us on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 7 pm in the Woodbury Room for a screening of Smoke Signals, the sixth in a film & discussion series being held over several months which look at issues of race.  A facilitated discussion will be held after the screening.

Smoke Signals is a feature film which debunks stereotypes about native people.  An award winner at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival, the film is based on Sherman Alexie's short story "This Is What It Means to Say Phoenix, Arizona" from his book The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fistfight in Heaven.
