Employment Opportunity for Amherst parents/guardians
Please see letter below for more info:
I am thrilled to announce that a Before-School Care program will be available to all Amherst Elementary School families. This will be a child-care service for families affected by the new start times in the Amherst district. The program will begin early September. Please see attached letter containing details of the program.
To staff this before-school program, we are in need of a minimum of two positions at each school. There will be a single Lead Care Provider and at least one Care Provider, depending on enrollment, at each location. The
Lead position salary will be $18 per hour ($22.50 per day), and the
Care Provider wages will be $16 per hour ($20 per day). Detailed
descriptions of these positions are currently posted on School Spring,
our Human Resources employment opportunities listing (www.arps.org).
The hours for these positions will be from 7:15am to 8:30am each weekday morning, located in the cafeterias at each school. Children will begin arriving at 7:30 am.
In addition to child care duties, the Lead Care Provider will be responsible for registering and collecting fees from parents. The supportive Care Providers will be responsible for providing child care duties. The daily plan is to supervise children in silent reading and to provide homework assistance. Training in emergency procedures, first aid and CPR will be provided.
If you have any questions, please contact Mildred Martinez atMartinezM2@arps.org or at 413-362-1871.
Thank you and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Sincerely,
Jim Regan
