Enhance
your Spanish proficiency, whether you’re a novice or an advanced
speaker, with this multi-level, interactive class that will explore the
rich history and culture of Spain's ancient pilgrimage route, the Camino
de Santiago. Improve your language skills and practice conversational
Spanish while you prepare for a future hike in northern Spain, or
daydream about the possibility. Classes will include teacher
presentations, and small group work with materials and students at your
level as well as activities to practice key grammatical concepts and
vocabulary. Students should have at least a basic knowledge of
Spanish. Ms. Northup-Bennett taught high school Spanish for 20 years,
and has traveled extensively in Spain, including several trips on the
Camino de Santiago. Ms. Mucci-Ramos lived in Venezuela and Ecuador many
years and is currently a guidance counselor at ARHS. The two led the
Amherst Regional High School Spanish Exchange for 3 years. Please
contact instructors if you are concerned about your level of Spanish.
