Our First Coffee with the New Principal!

Please join us for the kick-off of our monthly Coffee with the Principal on the first day of school, September 6, from 8:30-9:30am

Since Kindergarteners don’t start school until Thursday, September 8, there will be an additional Coffee for those families on that morning.

What's Next for Fort River?

Principal Monica Colley invites you to attend a brainstorming session on Wednesday, September 7, from 6:30-8:00pm, to begin a discussion about where we are and where we are headed at Fort River. There will be moderated small-group stations to discuss issues including communication, academics, and parent involvement.
This event is co-sponsored by the PGO and the School Governance Council and will be a great opportunity to meet our new principal. Childcare will be available so that all families can participate.

The first day of school is almost here!  Help Fort River and the entire Amherst community celebrate the kickoff of the new year.

The First Day Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, Sept 1 from 5:30-7pm on the Amherst Town Common.  Last year, over 500 people attended First Day Celebration and made it a very successful community event.  We hope to see you there!

Help Welcome New Families to Fort River with a Popsicle Party!

The New Family Welcome Popsicle Party is Tuesday, August 30 from 6:30-7:30pm on the FR playground. We have MANY new students in EVERY grade joining the Fort River community this Fall. Please drop by with your kids, have a popsicle, and welcome the new families to our community!

Weather permitting, we will be outside by the FR playground near the parking lot when you enter the school grounds. (In case of rain we will gather in the cafeteria; enter through the back entrance near the playground.)
